Intervalic Resolution

Teach the ear to hear,
The eyes to see,
The body to feel,
The brain to perceive,
and your mouth to sing
intervals.

The Solution:
Using number, you the musician can unify your senses.  You will have a common language in which to speak to other people about your points of view on music.  You will have both a fixed and a relative system from which you can examine what music is and how it works.

Child or adult, beginner or expert, a simplified way of learning music allows anyone at any level to learn something new and useful.  The interval based, number based system of thinking about music is not contrived.  It reveals WHAT actually underlies all musical structure.  This way of thinking will give you new abilities, techniques and control.   Whether your goal is musical mastery or the simple enjoyment of the music which makes you feel happy and free !
Our teaching method provides:

A Tool   Intervalometer
A Process   Music History Outline
A Language   Based on Intervals
A Philosophy  Keep it Simple and Make it Beautiful

Conclusion:
Music has been clothed in mysterious language and a symbology that requires expert training to be able to decipher.  Consequently, the simple joy and pleasure of making music is lost to most people.  In effect, we can't see the forest for the trees and we certainly can't appreciate it's beauty.

It has always seemed ironic that the best schools in the country brag about the fact that only ten percent actually graduate from their institutions.  To me this means simply that only 10 out of 100 people succeed in running the gamut and the other 90 out of 100 people either fail or drop out.  Effective teaching helps everyone acquire something they need and want, even if it's just the ability to figure out what's WHAT.  This simplified approach to teaching music allows people to be conscious of what they are doing, with enough brain power left over to be aware of making a beautiful sound.

Less is more.

Music hath charms to soothe a savage breast,
To soften rocks, or bend a knotted oak.
I've read that things inanimate have moved,
And as with living souls have been inform'd
          By
magic numbers and persuasive sound.
                                                                                     Congreve.
