To use it, cut out the colored strips above and place either the Major Scale (blue strip) or the Minor Scale (red strip) between the piano keys and the valve patterns. Align number 1 on the slider with the letter name of the scale you want to play. Look at the valve patterns above the numbers 1 - 7 to get a fingering pattern for that scale. Above that is the "Music script" used for that scale.

Slide the strip left or right and you can position the number 1 over any key and play that scale. Add the notes over the blue stripes to get the 10-note Blues Scale. Red stripes are used to create the harmonic and melodic minor scales.

WARNING: This fingering chart is in CONCERT PITCH, as it would sound on the piano. Trumpet music is written a whole step higher. Look at the Music script above the valve patterns. The Bb trumpet has a 31 note bandwidth. Its lowest note is "E" (f# scripted) and its highest note is "Bb" (c scripted).
