Go and print your FREE KEYBOARD INTERVALOMETER.
The Intervalometer displays the Diatonic Major scale in
any key anywhere on the keyboard. Use it to learn
Western traditional music the "Natural Way," by interval.
Learn to play a song in minutes. Just place the INTERVALOMETER (Slider) behind
the black keys of your piano and play 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-high 1. You should hear the
sound of a Major Scale like "Julie Andrews" in "The Sound Of Music" movie
singing.... "Doe, a deer, a female deer. Ray a drop of golden sun"...etc. Now
that you have your musical bearings, all you need is some numbered sheet
music. Well, click on the button above! There are 20 songs for you to print and
play. If you want to hear what a song sounds like, there are Midi Files on each
page.
Now let's transpose a song into a new key. Not everybody has the same vocal
range! You may not be able to sing your song because it's too high or low for
your voice. However, if you move the Slider to a new position and then play the
numbers again, the song will sound in a new key. Continue moving the Slider
around until you find a key that is just right for your voice. Now transpose the
song to fit into another person's voice. Try more songs! The button above will
take you to an example of transposing "Brother John" into four different keys. Go
ahead, give it a try!
Reading by interval on the staff is easy. You can read sheet music without clefs
and accidentals using a simple pattern of Thirds. Here we introduce the magic
circle and its use. This is an excellent way to begin writing notes out on the staff
as well. Click on the button above and learn to read by interval (number).

Fit the music to your voice and not the other way around! Here are some things
that will help you find that "Just Right Key."
